Singing Bowls

Singing Bowl Solos

Meditative sessions in which I explore the many voices within one singing bowl.
These are home recordings made with in-the-ear binaural microphones, so you hear exactly what I hear. Sometimes funny noises happen when I tap a bowl, as if it sets off shifts in the walls or ceiling — or of course in my chakras!

Exploring Chakra Tones: January 19 version

An experimental yoga nidra session incorporating sounds from a brass bowl and chimes tuned to chakrik frequencies. This practice seems to activate the body's energy centers, yet also leads to deep stillness.

Exploring Chakra Tones: May 5 version

A third version of the Chakra tones experiment (the second recording failed due to faint sound). In this version, the languaging is further simplified, tones are repeated, and there's more silence during the asmitamaya kosha phase.

Running time: 35 minutes
